Lofted roof extension
House Extension and Rainwater Harvesting Installation, Cambridge
Cambridgeshire
An extension to the rear at first floor level over an existing flat roof structure creates a self-contained bed/sitting room with en-suite facilities. The extension provides residential accommodation for a live-in carer with maximised penetration of natural light from rooflights in the high lofted ceiling. The external appearance of the extension was designed to match the look and feel of the existing house. The project also included the installation of a rainwater harvesting system.
